3:00 p.m.: Convene and proceed to the reading of Washington's Farewell Address.
Thereafter, resume consideration of S. 1200, the Indian Health bill.Pursuant to a unanimous consent agreement, the following amendments remain in order to the Dorgan substitute amendment (voting on the amendments will be in the order listed):
  • The germane amendments of Senator DeMint's choice (1 hour of debate); 
  • Vitter amendment #3896 (use of funds limitation) (1 hour of debate); 
  • Democratic side-by-side amendment to Vitter amendment #3896 (1 hour of debate); 
  • Smith amendment #3897 (innovative approaches) (20 minutes).
At 5:30 p.m., the Senate will VOTE on cloture on Dorgan substitute amendment #3899. It is expected that if cloture is invoked, there will be up to 2 further VOTES on pending amendments. Further VOTES will take place Tuesday morning on amendments, cloture on the bill, and passage of the bill.On Monday, February 25, cloture will be filed on the motions to proceed to S. 2633, the Troop Redeployment bill, and S. 2634, the al Qaeda Report bill. The cloture VOTES will occur Tuesday after disposition of S. 1200. Following disposition of the bills, the Senate will VOTE on cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R. 3221, the Energy bill.Monday, Feb 25, 2008 Wrap Up:
