That’s the number of coronavirus relief events I’ve held in Texas over the past several weeks, because it’s incredibly important to hear firsthand what is needed to get through these unprecedented times.

In case you missed it, I’ve been traveling around the state to speak with Texans about what Congress has done, as well as what more Congress needs to do to help during the coronavirus outbreak. Of course, I’ve been taking measures to keep my fellow Texans safe during these visits.

I spoke with Texans in the Rio Grande Valley, San Angelo, Abilene, Midland, Lubbock, Wichita Falls, Tyler, Waco, Bryan-College Station, and tens of thousands more people online through video calls and teletown halls.

As I travelled all around Texas, I was able to see how schools, health care facilities, food banks, local governments, Texas workers, and more have been able to use federal coronavirus funding provided by the CARES Act.

These conversations have helped me understand the effectiveness of everything Congress has done to help Texans so far and what more can be done.

I’m headed back to Washington next week where I look forward to continuing to fight to get you the help you need, Brent. As always, stay safe out there.

We’ll get through this together.
