WASHINGTON – Today on the floor, U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) pointed out the hypocrisy of the Democrat Leader’s attacks on House Republicans given that the Senate hasn’t passed a single appropriations bill under Sen. “The Senate has not passed a single appropriations bill that passed out of the Senate Appropriations Committee.”

“The Majority Leader likes to blame the House, and particularly because it’s a majority of Republicans, he acts like this is all their fault.” 

“The Majority Leader has contributed dramatically to this shutdown because of the Senate’s failure – under his leadership – to pass any appropriations bills whatsoever.”

“This is not governing. This is not responsible.”
